Don Julio's distillery in Atotonilco, Jalisco (NOM 1449) utilizes Highland agaves that are steam-cooked for 72 hours. This is double-distilled in stainless steel pot-stills, and aged for eight months in white, American oak. The reposado is then bottled in the characteristic, square-shaped bottle at 80 proof.Smooth and balanced reposado tequila from Don Julio, aged for just under a year in bourbon barrels. Made from 100% Blue Agave, Don Julio is double distilled and carefully matured in small oak barrels. A superbly smooth reposado, Don Julio is made with 100% agave and is aged just under a year in ex-bourbon barrels. A bit more special than your average repo tequila.
